A first user equipment (UE) is configured to establish a first tethered connection with a second UE 104 and a second tethered connection with at least a third UE. The first UE identifies a plurality of network slices provided by a network. The first UE selects at least a first network slice for the second UE and selects at least a second network slice for the at least third UE. The first UE wirelessly communicates data for the second UE over the at least first network slice using a first upstream link. The first UE wirelessly communicates data for the at least third UE over the at least second network slice using a second upstream link. The first upstream link and the second upstream link are concurrently maintained.
