The method includes receiving, from a base station, configuration information of an initial active uplink bandwidth part (UL BWP) and corresponding random access resource; based on the configuration information of the initial active UL BWP and the corresponding random access resource, determining corresponding physical random access channel (PRACH) occasions; and performing random access procedure based on the determined PRACH occasion.
