The microphone accessory in accordance with the invention has a body comprising an attachment formation for attaching the microphone accessory to the handle of the microphone, a holding portion to be engaged by a hand of the user, a cover portion coupled to the holding portion and substantially spaced therefrom so as to define a holding zone between the holding portion and the cover portion for receipt of the hand of the user to engage the holding portion, in use, wherein the cover portion substantially shields or covers the holding zone and/or the hand of the user; and a static non-electronically variable display device and/or an electronically variable display device. The invention also relates to a wearable microphone accessory.
