A radiation detection element (10) has: plural hexagonal pixels (20) that are arrayed in a form of a honeycomb and have sensor portions (103) that generate charges due to radiation being irradiated, charge accumulating capacitors (5) that accumulate generated charges, and TFT switches (4) for reading-out the charges accumulated at the charge accumulating capacitors (5); plural scan lines (101) that are disposed parallel in a first direction and to which switching signals that control switching of the TFT switches (4) are outputted; and plural data lines 3 that are disposed in parallel in a second direction that intersects the first direction, and to which charges that have been read-out by the TFT switches (4) are outputted. The TFT switches (4) are disposed so as to be, in the first direction, connected to the data lines (3) from alternately different sides of the data line (3), and such that an arrangement of source electrodes (9) and drain electrodes (13) of the TFT switches (4) is the same in the first direction.
