An apparatus and a method for wireless charging are disclosed. The method includes transmitting a wireless power supply apparatus search signal, receiving a wireless power supply apparatus search response signal and recognizing multiple apparatuses for wirelessly supplying power, sending a request for wirelessly supplying power to a first apparatus, sending a request for cooperative charging to a second apparatus, and receiving first and second power from the first and the second apparatuses, respectively, and performing wireless charging according to reception of a cooperative charging permission signal from the second apparatus for wirelessly supplying power.
