A quarter land has first quarter slits, first quarter notches, second quarter slits, second quarter notches, a third land end and a fourth land end. The first quarter slits and the first quarter notches open onto the third land end in alternating fashion as one proceeds along the tire circumferential direction. The second quarter slits and the second quarter notches open onto the fourth land end in alternating fashion as one proceeds along the tire circumferential direction.
