The method comprising: triggering, by medium access control (MAC) layer, a beam failure recovery for at least one serving cell, identifying, by MAC layer, whether evaluation of candidate beams is completed for the at least one serving cell for which the failure recovery is triggered and not cancelled, and generating, by MAC layer, a MAC control element (CE) for beam failure recovery based on a identified result, wherein detection information in the MAC CE is set to 1 for the at least one serving cell for which a beam failure is detected and evaluation of candidate beams is completed.
