The rotor includes a hub, an annular rim located on the outer side of the hub and holding a permanent magnet, a coupling section coupling the hub and the rim and including a recess having a first opening opened on a surface facing one end side in the axial direction, a first plate member disposed on the one end side of the coupling section and covering at least a part of the first opening in plan view from the axial direction, and a member disposed in the recess and having density lower than the density of the coupling section.
