The primary volume (102) and the secondary volume (104) are sealed with respect to the atmosphere surrounding the high-voltage cable sealing end (100). The secondary volume (104) can be disconnected from the primary volume (102) via a separable connection (106) which can be cut off in a fluid-tight manner. A drying agent, which draws moisture out of the insulating fluid, is introduced into the secondary volume (104).
