The pulling device includes a first device leg, a second device leg parallel to the first device leg, and a device base extending between and secured the first device leg and the second device leg such that the device base is perpendicular to the first device leg and the second device leg and the device base is raised relative to a bottom surface of the first device leg and a bottom surface of the second device leg, in which the unspooled section of the pipe segment is to be disposed on the device base.
