A linear compressor 1 includes: a mover 101 and a stator 102 which relatively move in a first direction and a second direction that is an opposite direction to the first direction; and an inverter portion 300 which includes a printed circuit board 305 and circuit elements 302 and 304 connected to the printed circuit board 305 through connection lead lines 306 extending from the printed circuit board 305, wherein the printed circuit board 305 is installed in a direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction.
