An electronic device may include a display, a power reception circuit, and a processor. The processor may perform wireless charging by receiving power wirelessly from an external electronic device through the power reception circuit, and receive data on one or more reasons to stop wireless charging from the external electronic device during the wireless charging. Also, the processor may transmit acknowledge (ACK) data to the external electronic device in response to receiving the data on the one or more reasons to stop wireless charging, and display, through the display, at least one reason to stop wireless charging included in the data on the one or more reasons to stop wireless charging.
