Embodiments of systems, apparatus, and/or methods are described for enhanced situational awareness of dispatchers and/or first responders associated with responding to an incident such as an emergency situation by assigning mobile emergency units to a scene of emergency. As such, an emergency response system is disclosed. In some embodiments, the disclosed emergency response system provides an electronic platform for collaboration or partnership involving two or more first responders. In some partnership embodiments, the disclosed emergency response system provides a ranked list of potential candidates than can be assigned to respond to the incident. For example, the potential candidates can be mobile emergency units belonging to a first responder and/or its partner(s).
