The method comprises: obtaining a configuration strategy of a container, wherein the configuration strategy of the containercomprises an automatic scaling strategy or a copy control strategy; wherein the automatic scaling strategy comprises a first mirror image identifier, the maximum deployment number of containers corresponding to the first mirror image identifier and the current deployment number of containers corresponding to the first mirror image identifier, and the copy control strategy comprises a second mirror image identifier and the deployment number of containers corresponding to the second mirror image identifier; and determining an identifier of a to-be-deployed mirror image according to the configuration strategy of the container. According to the method, the mirror image to be deployed is determined, so that the time delay caused by acquiring the mirror image when the container is started is avoided.
