The invention provides a wallboard and a production method thereof. The technical problems that the conventional wallboard is extremely complicated in components, high in raw material price and high in production cost and the like are solved. The wallboard disclosed by the invention comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 50-60 parts of crop straws, 10-16 parts of cow dung powder, 1-4 parts of magnesium chloride, 2-5 parts of a waterproof agent, 2-6 parts of an anhydride curing agent, 2-8 parts of illegal cooking oil, 4-10 parts of hydrogen peroxide and 1-3 parts of pigments. The wallboard disclosed by the invention has the advantage of low production cost.
